Luke is 25 and was struggling to build a successful life for himself. Because he had dropped out of high school, opportunities for a good job were very limited. Through the Adult Literacy League’s United Way-funded GED and Post-Secondary Education for Youth and Young Adults program, Luke was able to get his GED. The program empowered him to be more self-sufficient and is now working towards his associate’s degree.
