Quick Ways to Make Your Bar or Restaurant High-Tech

June 5, 2018Blogcoxadmin

Custom Audio VideoUberEats, Grubhub, Doordash, 912food2go…these are just a few of the food delivery services circulating in the South right now. Each year, it’s becoming more common for people to choose to stay in for the night and just have technology bring food to them. So…are restaurants endangered? Geez, we sure hope not. After all, people will always need people…right? Furthermore, nothing beats the experience of going out to bar or restaurant: the ambience, music, visuals, laughter, people, and food…all these mixed together is just simply irreplaceable.

According to the National Restaurant Association, next year’s “foodservice industry sales are expected to reach $632 billion,” and surely, restaurants will reinvest a lot of this money into technology that will give them the edge over their competitors. Even though more bar/restaurant owners are familiar with integrated controls and automated systems, they still don’t fully understand the possible potential. Well, here are some fairly easy ways that you can make your bar or restaurant more High-Tech:

Motorized Video Grid:
Basic Components Needed: A series of motorized screens, Constructed grid, Control Panel
Benefits: Rather than having stationary screens attached to your wall, placing the screens upon a motorized grid will give you the ability to easily move the screens in any formation you’d like. For instance, you may want to display content differently on all of the screens, or you may want to clump just a few of them together. But if there is a really big game on and you want to really draw some customers in, you can advertise “the largest screen in town” and put them all together. No matter what formation the screens are in, they’re pretty eye-catching, and it will make your bar a go-to destination when the next big game is playing.

Social Media Wall:
Basic Components Needed: Mounted Screens, Digital Signage Software, Control Panel
Benefits: You will be able to customize real-time streaming content via your establishment. Having a social media wall will keep your customers engaged while they are there, allowing them to post onto Twitter and/or Instagram and simultaneously view what they just posted along with what others in your bar/restaurant are posting. They will be able to send pics of their table, the menu, surroundings and post comments. Before you know it, your bar/restaurant will be considered the ideal place for one to go if he/she likes to hashtag. Plus, the display will encourage your customers to do the bar’s social media marketing. Win-win

Digital Menu Boards:
Basic Components Needed: Mounted or Motorized Screens, Software, Control Panel
Benefits: Digital Menu Boards are LED signs that are quirky and eye-catching. Your customers will be able to easily see and read them. Using a control panel, you can create an unlimited number of playlists, morning menu ideas, lunch menu, dinner menu, happy hours menu special and more! Need to make a quick change to a price or the name of the person performing? No problem. All changes wirelessly update the menu within minutes! You can add other screen panels as well! We can place them just about anywhere you want them.

Table-side Ordering and Payment Processing:
Basic Components Needed: iPads, POS system software
Benefits: With an iPad Point of Sale system, your employees will have the luxury of being mobile. Some restaurants have even started putting iPad at tables so customers can order and pay without talking to a server. When your customers’ checks are ready, you can process their payments right at the table. Instead of taking their credit cards to the register and bringing back a receipt for them to sign, you can process their cards and have them sign directly on the iPad. This streamlines the payment process both for your customers as well your employees. This equates to happy customers and an increase in table-turnover hourly.

Interactive Tabletops:
Basic Components Needed: IRT table, Digital Signage Software, Control Panel
Benefits: The IRT (Interactive Restaurant Technology) Table offers customers a state-of-the-art ordering system, super fun entertainment and a new way to communicate. The unique diamond-hard safety glass provides strength and resilience to nearly unbreakable levels! As a result, it’s not only safe and strong, but enormously visually pleasing as well as intuitively sensitive to human touch. In fact the unique Touch Technology supports an unlimited number of touches at the same time. One customer may be swiping through the digital menu while another across from them is already placing what they want to order. With four built-in high quality cameras, customers will be able to clearly see “selfies” of each other, do video conferences with other guests at other tables, or call for assistance to a server.

Whether swiping right, left, hash tagging or tapping for details, the use of technology comes as natural as breathing these days for most of us. Therefore, it’s no surprise that if people plan to spend money and go out, they are expecting technology to play a role in what they go out to do.
